MEET CATHERINE

Catherine L. Kort has enjoyed 20+ years of success facilitating positive change in for-profit, non-profit and higher education settings as a fundraising, public relations, and marketing and communications professional. Ms. Kort has managed a top public affairs and political consulting firm in Los Angeles and led a nationwide strategic change process for 80,000 alumni at a reputable private university.  Additionally, Catherine’s non-profit experience has led to dramatic increases in visibility and fundraising for a medium-sized local organization and a large-scale statewide agency.

In the past few years, Catherine has provided leadership supporting Ventura County’s non-profit disaster response and recovery effort through collaboration and strategic goal setting required to successfully navigate through change.  Ms. Kort recently joined CALM in Santa Barbara, the region’s expert in protecting and healing children and families from the trauma of abuse, to fulfill the agency’s strategic vision and develop a robust planned giving program.

Catherine is a results-oriented professional, certified trainer and executive coach for DSWA Coach Excellence School. Coach Excellence School is based on a world-renowned principle-centered coaching system utilizing proven techniques that accelerate learning and transport individuals and organizations to new levels of success. She founded Terralani Solutions to extend coaching principals to individuals, organizations and communities who desire positive growth and change. Catherine happily resides near the beach in Ventura, California and lives her passion for strengthening non-profit communities in several volunteer leadership roles. These include serving as a trainer and facilitator for Cal Lutheran University’s Center for Non-Profit Leadership, and a board member with the Association of Fundraising Professionals Santa Barbara/Ventura Counties Chapter.
